Our Pasture Raised Pork Loin Roast is made from the shoulder loin of the pig with the skin left on (crackling anyone - yum!). This is the perfect option for a family roast dinner. Sourced from our local farmer in Haden on the Darling Downs, our pork is free-range, antibiotic and hormone free.
We recommend you roast your Pork Loin Roast for 1 hour per kg.
The Perfect Crackle
To get the perfect crackle, ask your friendly butcher to score the skin for you. When home, let the Pork Loin air dry in the fridge overnight to withdraw as much moisture from the skin as possible.
Preheat your oven to 200 degrees Celsius (fan forced). Apply a liberal amount of salt to the pork loin skin and rub it in. Drizzle with oil and cook at 200 degrees Celsius for the first 20 minutes, and then reduce to 170 degrees Celsius. When the pork is close to cooked, finish at 200 degrees Celsius for a further 10 minutes.
